2024 Ballinger Scholarship for Equity

Designing spaces that shape the future requires a commitment to justice, equity, diversity, and inclusion. Ballinger’s Scholarship for Equity program aims to enhance equity in our industry and increase the pipeline of diverse talent in the fields of architecture, engineering, and interior design.

Our needs-based program is designed to support diverse Black, Indigenous, Person of Color, Latinx, Asian, and /or LGBTQIA+ students at several steps in their education, from the first year of college through graduation. Read on to learn more about the program details and application deadlines.

 

First Year Scholarship for Architecture, Interior Design, and Engineering Students

A $2,500 scholarship for students in their first year of college, pursuing a degree in architecture, interior design, or engineering. The award includes a Ballinger mentor and an opportunity to shadow a professional in the awardee’s discipline of interest. There will be up to two scholarships awarded each calendar year.

Scholarship for Architecture, Interior Design, and Engineering Students

A $5,000 scholarship for students entering their sophomore through graduate level of an accredited program in architecture, interior design, or engineering. Recipients will receive a paid internship and two Ballinger mentors.  There will be up to two scholarships awarded each calendar year.
