We are pleased to announce the groundbreaking of Nova Southeastern University’s Interprofessional Simulation Complex (SimCom). Ballinger provided financial planning, visioning and project formation services—including early architectural design phases—for the 107,000 SF complex, which will support NSU Health’s exceptional patient care by augmenting educational experiences, enriching clinical training, and accelerating medical innovations. Using cutting-edge technology, students from the colleges of medicine, dental medicine, optometry, health care sciences, pharmacy, nursing and psychology will have access to simulations utilizing 3D animation, augmented reality, and holograms.
Ballinger Senior Principal Todd Drake, AIA, LEED AP, led the planning effort, informed by recent health science planning at Drexel’s Health Sciences Building, NYSIM, and University of Delaware’s Tower at Star.
Ballinger SimCon is slated to open in 2024.
