Healthcare Planning and Design’s “Big Five”
Share
Healthcare buildings of today must be flexible in order to remain relevant tomorrow. How can we design buildings that remain malleable in the face of uncertainty? Ballinger Senior Principal Louis A. Meilink, Jr., FAIA, FACHA, ACHE and Principal Erin Nunes Cooper, AIA, ACHA, LEED AP will address these concerns at the New York Health Design Insights Networking Event on September 26. The talk, “The Big Five: Healthcare Planning and Design Strategies for an Adaptable Future,” will focus on the impact of floor to floor heights, column spacing, fixed vertical elements, targeted zones of flexibility, and resiliency on a healthcare facility’s future adaptability.
