“Projects that are seamlessly integrated produce the most successful result.”

Over the course of his 25 years at Ballinger, Keith Mock guided complex constituencies to embrace design solutions that advance strategic business goals. In December 2022, after a career of great accomplishment, Keith retired from the firm. We have valued his partnership and look forward to building upon his legacy.

Keith joined Ballinger in 1997 and successfully grew the firm’s corporate practice, developing multifaceted workplace solutions for Fortune 500 companies like Merck, J&J and Boeing. In addition to his long-term corporate clients, Keith worked on significant projects for the Children’s Hospital of Philadelphia, the City of Philadelphia, New Jersey Economic Development Authority, West Pharmaceutical, Linode, Tun Tavern Legacy Foundation, and many others.

While at Ballinger, Keith fully embodied the firm’s ethos of commitment to client service, staff growth and project diversity. In addition to solving problems at the project level, he streamlined Ballinger internal software management systems and operations. His ability to keep a project’s big picture in mind and to assemble the appropriate experts resulted in projects that are not only beautiful, but also functional. Keith has always said that if you can keep your eye on tackling the most complex problems first, then the details will fall into place.

Outside of Ballinger, Keith propelled the Philadelphia design scene forward with his commitment to the Philadelphia Chapter of the America Institute of Architects (AIA) as well as the Center for Architecture + Design. He served on both organizations’ boards including as president.

Keith is a steward of the environment, finding common sense, design-focused solutions to conserve the earth. In retirement, he will continue to restore 14 acres of conservancy land surrounding his home in West Chester, PA. In addition, Keith will remain connected to the design industry, bringing his years of experience to advise a few select clients.
