Recently, flooring brand Patcraft tapped Ballinger for input on an upcoming collection. Patcraft’s Amanda Hopkins and Linnzi Rich, designers of a carpet and LVT collection for educational environments, connected with Ballinger’s Emily Perrotta, Jennifer Cappella and Ingrid Wulf. The trio reviewed the new collection, which features layered shapes and tessellations. Ballinger’s interior designers provided input on texture, color, scale and pattern of both carpet tile and resilient flooring.
Flooring for higher education environments can be an impactful component of an overall design. In selecting products, designers balance aesthetics with considerations such as durability, ease of maintenance and environmental sustainability. “We strive to design spaces students never want to leave. Flooring is often a great opportunity for a large design statement including overall pattern and color impact,” said Emily.
Ballinger’s insight on design and color, along with feedback from other designers, will inform the latest Patcraft collection, which will be launched this year.
