Pennovation Lab Certified LEED Silver

Pennovation Lab, located on the University of Pennsylvania’s Pennovation Works campus, was certified LEED Silver (V4 BD+C Core and Shell). Ballinger provided architecture and engineering services to transform the building into a 73,400 SF incubator for discovery.

Designed to promote collaboration while meeting the needs of a wide range of tenants, the lab areas on each floor consist of modules that can be combined or subdivided based on the tenant’s specifications. Utilities offer similar customization and are individual to each tenant to minimize disruption. Additional amenities include a lounge, kitchenette, glass wash and autoclave facility: shared to optimize efficiency and provide opportunity for interaction.
