Sketching for a Cause: Ballinger’s Silent Auction Supports Philabundance

  • 09.27.24|1 min. read

Ballinger employees recently tapped into their creativity and generosity through a fundraiser for the Philadelphia-based food bank and charity, Philabundance. Inspired by the tradition of napkin sketches—quick, spontaneous drawings that often mark the start of architectural ideas—Ballinger staff members were invited to create works of art on square panels. Ballinger’s “sketches” took the form of drawings, paintings and sculpture. A total of 54 unique napkin sketches were created, displayed, and auctioned off, raising over $2,000. The donation will provide an impressive 4,926 meals for our neighbors in need.

The event was more than just a fundraiser—it was a platform for staff members to showcase their talents, connect with colleagues, and have fun for a worthy cause.
