Tradeline: The Evolution of Vivarium Design at Brown University
Share

Leaders from Brown and Ballinger will present the process of designing a vivarium for Brown University’s new Danoff Life Sciences Laboratories at the Tradeline Animal Research Facilities Conference October 20-21.
Presenters Lara A. Helwig, D.V.M, DACLAM, Senior Director and Attending Veterinarian at Brown University’s Center for Animal Resources and Education, and Gregory Muth, LEED AP, Senior Associate and Senior Laboratory Planner at Ballinger, will chart the transition from a census-based master plan to a flexible design supporting increased density and the incorporation of automation to reduce operating costs. They will examine new criteria to drive design evolution without compromising core objectives of efficiency, flexibility, and value.
Tradeline’s Animal Research Facilities Conference brings together members of the research community to highlight innovations and best practices for robust, efficient, and modern space and infrastructure for animal-based research programs.
