Quantum science is driving transformative potential advances in computational power, communications, sensing and chemistry. Designing environments to support this work can require extraordinary precision: facilities with near-zero vibration, tightly controlled temperature/humidity, and minimal noise and light.

Ballinger’s architects and engineers are helping institutions like Yale University and the University of Maryland, College Park meet these demands through integrated, sustainable design. At this year’s I2SL Annual Conference, our team will share strategies for balancing the intense requirements of quantum research with environmental stewardship and resiliency.

During the session “Quantum Leaps in Design” on Wednesday, October 22 Ballinger leaders will present:

The I2SL Annual Conference, hosted by the International Institute for Sustainable Laboratories, is an international forum on high-performance, sustainable labs. This year’s event will take place October 19–22 in Dallas, TX. Explore the full program here.
