Josh Abbell is an environmental steward. Understanding the significant impact of the built environment on global warming and climate change, Josh has worked consistently to guide our collective work toward greater environmental responsibility. He has coordinated the office’s Sustainability Working Group and sustainability tracking efforts. He is an active member of the AIA Philadelphia Chapter Committee on the Environment (COTE) and a co-chair of its 2030 Commitment Subcommittee. Throughout his career, Josh has collaborated closely with building owners, user groups, multi-disciplinary consultants, and construction management teams to deliver holistically-designed, soundly-executed projects. In his time at Ballinger, he has also coordinated the LEED certification efforts for projects for clients including Children’s Hospital of Philadelphia, Boeing, the University of Pennsylvania, and Virginia Commonwealth University.
